I went through my ammo cans last week. I counted and made a list of all my ammo. I put all my self defense ammo(cost more) under lock and key. Left my practice ammo and 22 LR in my spare closet floor. All my ammo is date coded(my system) and stored in Military ammo cans. Even have all my reloading components stored in large military cans. All my ammo should last for my lifetime. My grandkids will burn through it after that. My primary calibers are 9 MM and 38Spl/357 Mag. I have plenty except my plan is to purchase another 1000 rounds of 9 MM practice ammo and plan to purchase it after Christmas, if no real good sales comes along first.
