I know that Remington has had some QC issues of late. I've researched their RP45 and have seen mixed reviews. Any of you gentlemen have any first hand experience with one? I like the price, capacity, caliber and weight.

Given Remington's obvious issues with quality control (bankruptcy tends to do that to ya) I would suggest you take a look at one of the Ruger 1911 guns. I've shot several. They work well. And, if they don't, Ruger's customer service/repair is second to none. And the prices are similar.

The everyday price here is $329. I'm a Yuge Ruger fan. I doubt that I could find a Ruger 1911 for that.

Well if you want a pice of iron to take apart and fool around with, do it, but hope springs eternal...Bill
