Jim Higginbotham mentioned acquiring some of the hard-cast DT 148 grain wadcutters loads with the intent of trying them out. Wasn't sure if he'd published his results somewhere, and I missed it. Does DT usually have good quality stuff?

I found DT ammo to be fine

Iíve got a friend that thinks highly of them.

I bought 500 rounds of their 10 mm 180 GDHP load which didnít work well with the 10mm Dan Wesson 1911 that was my first 10 mm (that I owned, Iíd shot uncle's 10mm Colt Delta a lot when younger).

The Dan Wesson had tight target chamber & buddy I sold it to had some problems with other types of ammo if cartridge OAL was to long for gun.

Same case of ammo has worked fine in my Glock 29SF I got eventually after selling the Dan Wesson.

Eventually my gf will probably take deer or hogs with the G29SF, she doesnít like revolvers but has enjoyed shooting the G29.

I canít get my pinky securely enough on grip of it to shoot full power loads well, so eventually Iíll get a G20SF or the bigger G40 MOS and the G29sf will become her hunting Glock to compliment her 9mm Glocks.

I think the std. pressure 148s from DT went around 770 in a 4" and just under 750 in a 2" (a real 2" - Model 15).

considering they advertise them at 800 from a 4 and 750 from a 2 I'd give them an attaboy on advertised vel - which I've always found to be fairly close to their claims.

Thanks so much, Jim. Hope they were accurate from your snub gun.

I have not put them on paper for a proper estimate but they hit steel where the gun looks at around 15 yards.
