This months Rangemaster Newsletter has 2 videos showing hunting with a shockwave and OO buck. Pretty informative of the effectiveness of the short barreled shotgun stocked with low recoil 00 buck on 3 does. Harvested one at 55 yards.

the 55 yard shot was a full power flite control round

but he went 3 for 3 with managed recoil remington buck and the shockwave

so much for the shockwave being worthless.....

I’ve removed the factory Raptor grip from mine, and replaced it with a PDW arm brace: Mesa Tactical adapter that bolts in where the Raptor grip came off, Shockwave Technologies buffer tube and brace.

It’s adjustable for LOP from 10.5” to 14”, OAL from 30.5” to 34”. After some experimentation, I’ve got mine set up at 12” LOP, OAL 32”.

That makes it 5.5” longer than with the factory set-up with the Raptor grip, but still very handy: 7.5” shorter than a 590 Tactical with 18” barrel. And much easier to shoot accurately, braced against my shoulder, compared to the Raptor-grip version.

Basically turns the Shockwave into a 6-shot, 14” SBS— but without the ATF classification, paperwork, cost, and regulations.

I’m liking it a lot...
