Today my son Mike lost his best friend, his wife Kathi passed away. She had been in remission from cancer for about a year and a half. About 10 days ago it came back, chemo seemed to have it in remission and she went home for out patient treatment. 3 days ago she admitted to the hospital, she seemed to have been stabilized, but this morning she suddenly reversed and passed away.
I am asking for prayers for Mike and their 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren, to help them work though their grief. I have a great admiration for Kathi, for who she was and what she accomplished in her life. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and a friend. I will miss her a great deal. Thank you for your prayers and support. Retfed

Most definitely. God bless and keep you all through this. Ace

Prayers up. Life and death can be cruel. We all get to experience the downsides sooner or later. It's never easy.

Prayers for your entire family, My thoughts are for all of you. Cancer is wicked in how it gives hope and then takes it away. Remember you have a loving Heavenly Father who loves you all. The hard part is understanding the eternal nature of his plans for each of us.

I'm so sorry. Prayers up for all.

Thank all of you for the prayers. My two youngest kids and 2 gr andkids picked me up in MD Wed., and we drove to CT for the service Fri. Kathi's family came in from MO and TN. Thursday the families got together and prepared for the service Friday. The dress, at Kathi's request was bright colors, and after the pastor had prayers some of the attendees got up to speak about Kathi's life. It was a sad but not mournful experience, a tribute to the positive effects she had on people. On Saturday a Celebration of Kathi's life was held. There was a pizza/gelotto truck the local bar association donated, lots of food, etc.. It was a way to remember and let the family know how their wife, mother and grandmother was loved and appreciated.
Please excuse the long post but I wanted totell you how Kathi's family got through the funeral services,etc..
Again thank you for the prayers and good wishes, they helped.
Kathi gave me 4 loving, bright and hard working grand kids, and a great friend. I miss her. Retfed

Refed - Further prayers for Kathi, for you, and the family. A rapid passing is always a cruel shock, but in some ways more merciful for all concerned. Both my parents went very suddenly; active literally til the final moments. Both my wife's parents' passings were prolonged and ugly. Having been through it both ways and seeing it in other family and friends, I have to think the shorter the final event, the better. That's small consolation now, but better in retrospect, I think.

As for the why of it, I have no words. God Bless.

Jeff

Please know that my wife and I are offering up prayers for you and your family. May God in his infinite love, shower you all with His lasting comfort and peace, in the knowledge Kathi is with Him, and all is well with her. Cancer can no longer touch her.
